Award of Wallonie Rules

This fine award is issued by the UBA - Section of Gembloux – GBX (ON6GX) and can be obtained by all radio amateurs or short waves listeners under the following rules:

 

Basic requirements

Contact stations located on territory of the belgian region of Wallonie. There is no mode, province or bands restrictions.

Attribution to:

 

·       Non-European stations should contact 5 different stations from Wallonie

·       European stations should contact 10 different stations.

·       Belgian stations should contact 15 different stations.

 

Valid contacts

All Contacts after October 1st, 1980 are valid. Only contacts with the provinces of Namur (zip code 5000-5999), Liège (zip code 4000-4999), Luxembourg (zip code 6000-6999), Hainaut (zip code 7000-7999), and Brabant Wallon (zip code 1300-1399) are valid. QSO with Brussels (zip 1000-1299) are NOT good

 

NB: Contacts with new province of Brabant Wallon count only starting January 1st, 1995. Before, contacts with french speaking part of Brabant only are good (Post code 1300-1399)

 

Same rules for SWL.

 

How to determine a valid call sign?

It is not possible to determine by the call sign the location of a Belgian station, but a list of all belgian callsigns with city and ZIP code can be found on the Belgian Post and Telecommunication Institute website at:

Application

QSL cards are not required. Applications should be made on a GCR list or log copy.
